Abu Dhabi’s Vision for AI-Powered Governance

Abu Dhabi aims to become the world’s first fully AI-native government across all digital services by 2027, with a strategy focused on building a robust digital infrastructure and achieving 100% adoption of sovereign cloud computing and automation of all government processes. The plan includes creating a unified digital ERP platform to optimize productivity, investing heavily in citizen AI training through the AI for All program, and implementing over 200 innovative AI solutions to position Abu Dhabi as a global AI innovation hub. The strategy also emphasizes strong digital governance and cybersecurity frameworks to meet future challenges. This initiative builds on a decade of digital evolution in Abu Dhabi and is expected to add over AED 24 billion to the GDP by 2027, creating more than 5,000 jobs while supporting Emiratisation. Key collaborations include partnerships with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the Advanced Technology Research Council for large language models, and G42 for AI infrastructure development, cementing Abu Dhabi’s leadership in AI-powered digital governance and sustainable growth.

Alibaba Launches Qwen3 with Cutting-Edge Hybrid Reasoning and Multimodal AI

Alibaba’s Qwen AI in 2025 represents a state-of-the-art family of large language models (LLMs) that excel in natural language processing, coding, reasoning, and multimodal tasks like vision, audio, and video understanding. The latest iteration, Qwen 3, builds on the advancements of Qwen 2.5 by leveraging an extensive training corpus of over 36 trillion tokens across 119 languages and dialects, and includes both dense and sparse architectures to optimize performance and efficiency through a mixture-of-experts (MoE) approach. Released under an open-source Apache 2.0 license, Qwen models provide wide accessibility to developers and enterprises for diverse applications such as AI chatbots, real-time voice chatting, document analysis, multilingual content generation, and sophisticated coding assistance. Alibaba continues to expand Qwen’s capabilities with a focus on improved reasoning, multimodal fusion, AI safety, and scalability, making Qwen a powerful and versatile platform in the global AI ecosystem and a strong competitor to other leading models like GPT-4o and DeepSeek-V3.

AI-Driven Software Development Boosts Productivity and Innovation in 2025

In 2025, the landscape of software development is being dramatically reshaped by AI-assisted tools that streamline coding workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and significantly boost productivity for both individual developers and teams. Companies adopting these advanced AI solutions report more rapid release cycles, improved code quality, and a marked increase in innovation as intelligent technologies handle testing, code reviews, bug detection, and documentation. This widespread adoption is also fostering new levels of collaboration, with AI-driven platforms facilitating seamless communication and enabling developers to focus on solving complex problems rather than mundane tasks, ultimately positioning organizations at the forefront of technological progress in the competitive software industry.

Paper of The Day

Code Driven Planning with Domain-Adaptive Critic (CoPiC)" proposes a novel framework that enhances task planning by large language models (LLMs) for complex environments. CoPiC reduces the high querying costs typical of iterative plan refinement by generating multiple high-level planning programs that produce diverse candidate plans. A domain-adaptive critic then evaluates these plans to select the one best aligned with long-term rewards. The system iteratively refines these programs using reinforcement learning, improving both efficiency and plan quality. Evaluated in ALFWorld, NetHack, and StarCraft II, CoPiC shows significant improvements in success rate (over 20%) and reduces token costs by nearly 80%, outperforming prior LLM-based planners and supporting both closed-source and open-source LLMs. This approach bridges the gap between LLM general knowledge and environment-specific needs, enabling more effective and cost-efficient planning.
