Manus & Alibaba partner

Manus AI partners with Alibaba for enterprise AI. Marey launches copyright-safe AI videos. Snapchat debuts AI Video Lenses for dynamic effects. Innovation is here!

The AI landscape is evolving at breakneck speed, with new advancements redefining what’s possible across industries. From enterprise automation to AI-generated videos and next-gen AR experiences, these latest breakthroughs are pushing the boundaries of innovation.

China’s Manus AI has entered a strategic partnership with Alibaba’s Qwen AI team, marking a major move in the country’s AI race. Manus AI, an advanced autonomous AI agent capable of executing complex tasks independently, will integrate its technology into Qwen’s open-source models and China’s domestic computing platforms. The collaboration aims to enhance Manus' scalability following its surge in traffic and bolster Alibaba’s competitive edge in the AI space. Together, they are setting the stage for the future of enterprise automation in China.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based startup Moonvalley, in partnership with Asteria, has launched Marey, a copyright-friendly AI video-generating model. Unlike other AI video tools that rely on publicly scraped data—often including copyrighted content—Marey is trained exclusively on openly licensed datasets. With advanced camera and motion controls, it enables high-quality HD video generation of up to 30 seconds, all while prioritizing legal security for creators. Moonvalley also offers data privacy options, letting users remove their content and delete their data anytime, reinforcing its commitment to ethical AI development.

And in the world of social media, Snapchat is taking AI Lenses to the next level with AI-powered video effects. Platinum subscribers can now generate dynamic AI-driven videos with new lenses like "Raccoon," "Fox," and "Spring Flowers," which transform footage captured with the front or back camera into enhanced AI-generated clips. With weekly updates planned, Snapchat is leveraging its in-house generative video models to offer exclusive, cost-effective AI tools that rival competitors like Instagram and TikTok.

From groundbreaking AI automation to ethical video generation and next-gen social media experiences, these innovations are reshaping how we interact with technology. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning!

Breaking Ground: Manus AI & Alibaba's AI Partnership

Manus AI Forms Strategic Partnership with Alibaba's 'Qwen' Development Team to Collaborate on Developing More Creative AI Agents - GIGAZINE

China's Manus AI has formed a strategic partnership with Alibaba's Qwen AI team to integrate its general AI agent capabilities into Qwen's open-source models and China's domestic computing platforms. Manus AI, which recently launched claiming to surpass OpenAI's DeepResearch agent, operates as an autonomous digital employee capable of executing tasks independently. The collaboration aims to address Manus' traffic surge and expand its user base while strengthening Alibaba's position in the competitive AI market. This partnership reflects the intensifying AI race in China, with both companies aiming to reshape enterprise automation and advance artificial intelligence innovation

Moonvalley's Marey: Copyright-Friendly AI Videos

Los Angeles-based startup Moonvalley, in collaboration with Asteria, has launched "Marey," an AI video-generating model trained on openly licensed data. Marey offers fine-grained camera and motion controls, enabling nuanced in-scene movements. Moonvalley pitches Marey, which can generate "HD" clips up to 30 seconds in length, as lower risk than competitors from a legal perspective, as many generative video startups train models on public data, some of which is invariably copyrighted. Moonvalley says it’s working with partners to handle licensing arrangements and package videos into datasets that the company then purchases, similar to Adobe's approach. Moonvalley intends to let creators request their content be removed from its models, allow customers to delete their data at any time, and offer an indemnity policy to protect users from copyright challenges. The models will also block certain content, like NSFW phrases, and won’t allow people to prompt them to generate videos of specific people or celebrities.

Snapchat's AI Lenses are NEXT LEVEL!"

Snapchat pushes 'safer' platform image, but not everyone agrees, ET BrandEquity

Snapchat is introducing AI Video Lenses powered by its in-house generative video model for Snapchat Platinum subscribers. These lenses, launching with "Raccoon," "Fox," and "Spring Flowers" effects, allow users to generate AI videos using the front or back camera, which are then saved to Memories. Snap plans to add more lenses weekly, leveraging their expertise in AR and AI to stay competitive, offering unique features not yet available on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, while also building in-house AI models for cost-effective, high-quality tools.
