Work Anywhere with Cursor Agent on Web and Mobile

Cursor Agents are now available on both web and mobile, allowing users to access a powerful coding assistant from any desktop, tablet, or mobile browser, and even install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a native experience on iOS or Android. These agents can write code, answer complex questions, run tasks like bug fixes or feature builds in the background, and support collaboration by letting team members review diffs, pull requests, and create new pull requests directly from the web interface. Users can also work with rich context by including images, adding follow-up instructions, and running multiple agents in parallel. Integration with Slack enables notifications and agent triggers via "@Cursor" in conversations, making it easy for teams to stay updated and collaborate seamlessly, with the added benefit of picking up agent work directly in the Cursor IDE when back on a laptop.

Meta FAIR Unveils Advanced Audiovisual Avatar Motion Models

Meta Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) has introduced a new family of audiovisual behavioral motion models that generate realistic facial expressions and body gestures for avatars using audio-visual inputs from two people, aiming to make virtual agents more natural and interactive in VR and AR environments. These models are powered by the large-scale Seamless Interaction Dataset, which contains over 4,000 hours of diverse, in-person two-person conversations and is now publicly available to the research community. Designed with privacy and quality in mind, the dataset captures a wide range of emotions, relationship contexts, and improvisational scenarios, and the models can animate avatars in both 2D and 3D, supporting flexible expressivity controls and outputting intermediate codes for face and body motion. FAIR is also releasing a technical report and proposing new evaluation methods to help the research community advance the development of more human-like, socially intelligent virtual agents, while ensuring privacy, transparency, and ethical standards through watermarking and rigorous data handling.

Runway Launches AI-Powered Game Worlds Platform

Runway, the AI startup known for its work with major TV and film studios, is expanding into the video game industry with the upcoming launch of its Game Worlds platform, which allows users to create interactive, text-based games that generate text and images using AI. While the platform currently supports only basic designs, CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela revealed that more advanced, fully generated video games are expected later this year, and Runway is seeking partnerships with game companies to both offer its AI tools and gain access to video game datasets for training. This move comes amid ongoing industry debates about the use of AI in gaming, including concerns from professionals and unions about the use of likenesses and voices for AI training, and follows Runway’s previous collaborations with AMC Networks and Lionsgate to provide AI-driven support for pre-visualization and production processes in entertainment.
